Institute of History of SAS is a legal entity which is able to gain rights and to enter obligations independently. The rights and obligations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences as a trustee of the budget chapter and its relationships with the Institute of History of SAS are regulated by Law n. 303/1995 of the Slovak Collection of Laws/Statute Book as described by later regulations.
